EPPA cares for the medical health and wellness of the people within the communities we serve. Throughout the year, we go beyond our walls to actively support our patients and their surrounding communities. With the EPPA team operating in six of the main hospital emergency rooms in the Twin Cities area and three Urgency Room locations we make an impact both inside and outside of hospital walls.
We're proud of our dedicated team of professionals and their commitment to others. Stay connected with us all year long!
EPPA is excited to partner with CentraCare Health at Monticello and Rice Memorial Hospitals! We're grateful for this partnership!
Making The News
We're proud to highlight and commend our clinicians as they are continually recognized across the communities they serve for their excellence.
Dr. Houghland has worked in the Ridges emergency department since August 2011. He has served as the ED Medical Director since March 2015 and, in addition to this role, he served as the Emergency Department Chief and as the Ridges Chief of Staff. He has been a key driver in developing a strong collegial relationship between the ED and Hospitalist staff. Striving to work together to figure out “what does this patient need and how can we get that for them” which helps to minimize conflicts between providers.
While leading the 3rd busiest ED in the Twin Cities, Dr. Houghland’s colleagues continue to recognize him for his excellent clinical skills, humility, and willingness to listen.
Congratulations and thank you Dr. Houghland, for the continuous work you do for EPPA & the communities you serve.
Dr. Wyatt was recently awarded the Affiliate Faculty Teaching Award by the G3 class of Emergency Medicine residents at HCMC. The award is given to the year’s most outstanding community-based clinician teacher. The eligible pool of attending EM physicians consist of all faculty who work at the major teaching institutions where the residents rotate outside of HCMC (Univ of Minnesota Fairview Hospital, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Univ of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital, and North Memorial/Maple Grove Hospitals).
Congratulations and thank you Dr. Wyatt, for educating and building emergency medicine residents and the medical community of Minnesota!
