A DEDICATION TO SUCCESS

Clinicians Committed to Excellence

We provide our team with the tools necessary for continuous personal and professional growth. As a physician-led organization, we’re committed to providing excellence in emergency medicine.  We actively seek out the best and brightest physicians and advanced practice providers (APCs) (including nurse practitioners and physician assistants) to become part of our team.  We work together to cultivate rewarding emergency medicine careers and opportunities for our clinicians.

Documentation Management

Our clinicians can access our secure EPPA portal from anywhere to easily to manage their personal information and benefits, productivity, internal communications and procedural documentation. Having this information at their fingertips allows for immediate access to the information they need most.

Educational Efforts

We continuously strive to deliver expert emergency medical care while maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction. High-quality, cost-effective emergency care can only be achieved through commitment to continuous internal quality monitoring and appropriate medical education. We are constantly evaluating our practice to ensure we are consistent in meeting and exceeding our goals.

EPPA fosters this commitment by rigorous case reviews in a formalized peer review process. Our physicians, advanced practice clinicians and medical scribes receive dedicated time, funding, and educational opportunities on an ongoing basis throughout the year to ensure we are practicing to the best of our abilities.

Work-Life Balance

EPPA is committed to the success of our clinicians. Support of our teams professional and personal well-being is part of our organizational culture.  We work together as a group to build a positive work environment while supporting personal success outside of work.  We have committees within EPPA focused on our clinicians and what matters most to them.

Our group consists of both emergency medicine physicians, family practice physicians and advanced practice clinicians (APCs) including physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Our culture focuses on working together to support personal and professional balance.

EPPA-Trained Scribe Support

At EPPA we’re focused on providing our clinicians the most support possible.

We believe our EPPA scribes aid in the fundamental success of our group. Since 2008 we have grown one of the most successful scribe programs in the state serving our hospital and Urgency Room locations as well as many other hospital and clinic partners. We are proud of our scribe program and the support we are able to give our clinicians.

Quality Improvement Efforts

EPPA’s quality improvement efforts target issues essential to practicing emergency medicine including:

  • The appropriate triage and timely access to care for any person presenting to the emergency department with acute illness or injury.
  • The delivery of competent care based on current emergency medicine standards, along with the goal to continuously improve the standards and the practice of emergency medicine.
  • The delivery of cost-effective health care to our patients.
  • Maintenance or improvement of emergency medicine skills.

Benefits

EPPA leadership strives to make new members of our group successful. We offer high-quality educational opportunities throughout the year, as well as individualized mentorship opportunities through the site medical directors.  We are committed to the success of our clinicians and invest in their personal and professional growth in modern medicine.

Our clinicians receive top compensation, possible physician ownership within two years, a competitive benefit package including profit sharing and retirement packages and CME hours. We look to offer our clinicians the very best.Over the years hundreds of EPPA scribes have left our program for medical school, physician assistant (PA) programs, nursing masters programs, public health masters programs, and more!

Locations

Located in hospital ERs throughout the Twin Cities area, St. Cloud and rural Minnesota, we are sure to have a location that suits you. Providing both metro and rural care, our hospitals have unique and diverse patient populations and are desirable locations for clinicians to practice. We are proud of the relationships we have created over the years with our hospital partners and look forward to continued success in the future.

At EPPA, we contribute to the clinical excellence at each location by participating in hospital specialty programs (Joint Commission Heart and Stroke Certification, sepsis protocols, ultrasound credentialing, and more).  We encourage our team to be involved and become active members at their hospital.

In addition to hospital ER staffing, EPPA also provides care at our three east-metro Urgency Room sites, a new innovation to the Midwest bringing emergency medical care to patients outside of the typical hospital ER setting.  Find all the locations staffed by EPPA here.
