Advanced Practice Clinicians

As physician assistants and nurse practitioners, our advanced practice clinician (APC) roles are a critical part of the team’s success. Working alongside physicians, nurses and technicians, you can contribute to our best practice patient care environment. Our APCs assist physicians in emergency departments throughout the Twin Cities as well as in our three east metro Urgency Room locations.    >>Find out more


Medical Scribes

Since 2007, the EPPA Scribe Program has hired students and recent graduates to work as a medical scribe. Our program has grown to include a diverse community of over 350 scribes serving patients in large hospital and small clinical settings across Minnesota.

Experience as a scribe is recognized by medical and PA school admissions committees as highly desirable. Over the years EPPA has seen hundreds of scribes enter into medical school and PA programs across the United States. We take pride in our distinguished alumni and continue to work hard to prepare current scribes for their professional careers in medicine.

Scribes work directly with physicians and mid-level providers (PAs and NPs) to complete real-time documentation. They enable providers to spend more time with patients and increase the efficiency of the department. Our EPPA scribes document everything that occurs during the visit from start to finish; including the patient’s history, physical exam, patient outcomes, labs, imaging, and more. In return, scribes become familiar with the workflow of medicine, medical decision process, medical terminology, and how different providers approach patient care.

Urgency Room Opportunities
