Emergency Physicians PA (EPPA) is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. We prohibit discrimination and harassment of any kind based on race, color, sex, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, genetic information, pregnancy, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.
This applies to all employment practices within our organization, including hiring, recruiting, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, leave of absence, compensation, benefits, training, and apprenticeship. EPPA makes hiring decisions based solely on qualifications, merit, and business needs at the time.
EPPA's team of emergency physicians is made up of some of the best and brightest professionals in the nation. We hire board-eligible/board-certified physicians who have completed an Emergency Medicine residency. We work with each physician to ensure they are meeting their individual needs for personal and professional growth within the organization. Our continuing educational opportunities and ongoing quality initiatives allow for the continued success of our physicians. Since 2007, the EPPA Scribe Program has hired students and recent graduates to work as a medical scribe. Our program has grown to include a diverse community of over 350 scribes serving patients in large hospital and small clinical settings across Minnesota.
Experience as a scribe is recognized by medical and PA school admissions committees as highly desirable. Over the years EPPA has seen hundreds of scribes enter into medical school and PA programs across the United States. We take pride in our distinguished alumni and continue to work hard to prepare current scribes for their professional careers in medicine.
Scribes work directly with physicians and mid-level providers (PAs and NPs) to complete real-time documentation. They enable providers to spend more time with patients and increase the efficiency of the department. Our EPPA scribes document everything that occurs during the visit from start to finish; including the patient’s history, physical exam, patient outcomes, labs, imaging, and more. In return, scribes become familiar with the workflow of medicine, medical decision process, medical terminology, and how different providers approach patient care.
Our scribes are an invaluable asset for our providers, patients, and hospital/clinic partners alike. They support our teams at all of our EPPA locations, Urgency Rooms and more. >>Apply Now
